This recipe of delicious chicken Modiga is a perfect Italian recipe that was given to us by my friend and colleague of the same name. This is not a very common recipe as it is only found in some parts of Italy

– butter – flour – boneless skinless chicken breast – Italian bread crumbs – chicken stock – thinly sliced mushrooms – chopped prosciutto ham –  lemon – juice – dry white wine And more..........

Step by Step

Marinade and breading

Step 1

Dredge the chicken in Italian bread crumbs, Brush the breaded chicken with melted butter on both sides

Grill the chicken for at least 5 minutes on both sides or until done.

Fry the chicken

Make the Sauce

Saute’ the garlic, butter, and mushrooms.In a saucepan, bring the chicken stock to a boil, and add the flour and butter mix until it becomes thick....

Cook the Sauce

Step 4

Reduce to simmer, add prosciutto, mushrooms, lemon juice, and wine. Allow them to simmer for about 10 minutes. Pour over the chicken with cheese on top.

Bake and Serve

Step 5

Bake 10 minutes until cheese is melted. Serve hot!
