Deep-fried chicken is a dish that is loved around the world, but the Hawaiian take on Korean fried chicken is incredible, and something you must try if you haven’t already!

What Is Korean Chicken

This particular type of fried chicken is specific to Hawaii. It’s deep-fried chicken (which we already know and love), but what makes it special is the sauce that it’s dipped in.

Prepare the chicken

Step 1

Cover the chicken pieces completely in flour. Then cover with saran wrap and place in the refrigerator for at least an hour

Grab a bowl and add: roasted sesame seeds, vinegar, brown sugar, sugar/sweetener/hot sauce, honey, green onions, sesame seed oil, and shoyu.

Make the sauce

Step 2

Now place the chicken pieces into the fryer one at a time. After a minute, flip the chicken over and add more chicken pieces....

Fry the chicken

Dip in sauce

Once chicken is cooked, remove and dip into your prepared sauce. To avoid mess, you can place the chicken onto paper towels once dipped....
