- - One pound boneless skinless chicken breast (cut into small strips)
- - Four ounces cheddar cheese sliced into thin strips
- - Two tablespoons all-purpose flour
- - One teaspoon garlic powder
- - One teaspoon onion powder
- - Salt and pepper to taste – optional
- - One cup Panko bread crumbs
- - Cooking spray or oil for frying/baking

Place the cheese slices and chicken in two separate shallow bowls.
In a third shallow bowl, season the flour with salt and pepper (optional). Dip the chicken strips into the flour mixture until coated, then set aside.
