Bush Beans White Chili Chicken Recipe: How To

Today, we're going to be looking at a Bush Beans white chili chicken recipe. In many ways, it's similar to a normal chili...but with two main differences: the use of white beans, rather than the typical red beans in chili. And instead of beef in the chili, you usually use chicken instead. And that is where the infamous Bush Beans come into play - as they are the best choice when making white chili chicken. Let's take a look at how to make this hearty, warming favorite.

Ingredients
  

White Chili Chicken

  • 2 cans of White Chili Beans (not drained)
  • 1 can of tomatoes and green chiles (not drained)
  • 1 can of chicken broth (reduced sodium)
  • 1 can of cream of chicken soup
  • 1-2 jalapenos (seeded and chopped)
  • 1 cooked rotisserie chicken (meat only - dice)

Optional

  • shredded cheese
  • sour cream
  • cilantro
  • tortilla strips
  • avocado

Instructions

  • Prepare the beans
    Gather all of the ingredients you need and place a stock pot over a medium heat. Now add 1 1/2 cans of the Bush's White Chili Beans. In a bowl, mash the remaining last half with a fork, before adding to the pot too.

  • Add ingredients
    Add the tomatoes and green chiles, chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, jalapenos and cooked rotisserie chicken to the stock pot. Mix well so the ingredients are evenly distributed.

  • Simmer
    Once the ingredients have come to a boil, reduce the heat. Leave to simmer for around 10-15 minutes. You don't need to stay by the pot, but be sure to stir every so often.
  • Serve
    Plate up and then add any of the additional toppings you may like (i.e shredded cheese, tortilla strips, avocado, sour cream, cilantro, etc.). Enjoy!
