- 6 sub rolls
- 1 jar of Alfredo sauce
- 12 slices of mozzarella cheese
- 1 lb of cubed chicken
- 1 lb of crumbled and cooked bacon
- 8 oz of mini sliced mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1/2 tablespoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 tablespoon of onion powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 2 tablespoons of dried oregano
PrepareGather all of the ingredients you need for this recipe and preheat your oven to 300F. Grab your sub rolls and cut them through the middle so you have halves of each sub. Cook the mushroomsGrab a bowl and add your mushrooms, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and olive oil. Mix until the ingredients are evenly distributed in the bowl. Heat some oil in a skillet over a medium to high heat and cook the mixture for around 5 minutes. The mushrooms should be tender. Once tender, remove from heat and place in a bowl. Set aside. In a separate bowl, place the chicken and bacon together and mix well. 1 lb of cubed chicken, 1 lb of crumbled and cooked bacon, 8 oz of mini sliced mushrooms, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1/2 tablespoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, 1/2 tablespoon of onion powder
Assemble your subsYou'll likely need a few baking sheets, depending on how many subs you're making. Put the rolls onto the sheets, inside facing up. Now spread some alfredo sauce onto both the top and bottom of the sub rolls. Now layer your bottom roll with the mushroom mixture you prepared earlier. Next, add the mixture of chicken and bacon - distributed evenly across the bread. On the other half of the bread, add two slices of cheese. You can add more alfredo sauce at this point if you'd like. Now grab a pinch of oregano and place on both halves of the sub. Repeat this until all subs are ready to be toasted. 6 sub rolls, 1 jar of Alfredo sauce, 2 tablespoons of dried oregano, 12 slices of mozzarella cheese
BakePlace the subs in the center of your preheated oven for around 10 minutes. It may be slightly longer or shorter, depending on how crunchy you like your sub. Now place the top halves on top of the bottom halves, cut in half...and serve!
