  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/4 cup of chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 3/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of mustard (dry)
  • black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 packet of elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups of sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 packet of American cheese (in strips)

Recipe

Now all you need to do is:

Step 1: Cook the macaroni and prepare

Preheat your oven to 350F. Sauté onions in a pan with butter. After 2 minutes, add the flour and mix well. Now add the milk, salt, pepper, and mustard. Mix well until it boils and thickens. In a separate pan, boil a pan of salted water. Once boiling, add your pasta, cook for 8-10 minutes and drain. Add the cheeses to the milk mixture and mix until it melts.

Step 2: Bake the macaroni

Mix the sauce and macaroni together well. Pour into a baking dish and bake for around 30 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

  • 1 1/2kg of clams
  • 50g of butter
  • 150g of cubed pancetta
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tablespoon of plain flour
  • 150ml of milk
  • 150ml of double cream
  • 2 cubed medium potatoes

Now all you need to do is:

Step 1: Prepare the clams

Rinse and drain the clams in cold water. Add the clams to a pan with 500ml of water and bring to the boil. Simmer for around 2 minutes and drain the clams, reserving the stock for later. You should now be able to remove the clams from their shells with your hands. Strain the stock and leave to one side.

Step 2: Make the chowder

Add the butter to a bat, alongside the pancetta. Cook for around 3-4 minutes. Add the onion, bay leaf and cook on a medium-low heat for around 10 minutes. Add the flour and mix well. Then gradually add the milk, cream and stock. Mix well.

Step 3: Cook the potatoes
